The Scottish Industrial Heritage Society (SIHS) is a Scottish charity (SCIO) dedicated to the protection, preservation, study and appreciation of Scotland’s historic buildings. We bring together people interested in discovering and understanding Scotland’s industrial past. SIHS explores a broad range of industrial heritage; from mills to foundries, heavy engineering to distilling.

We organise seminars, conferences and visits to sites of industrial heritage interest through Scotland. The Society publishes a bulletin covering recent and future activities, as well as short articles on industrial history and heritage

The Society supports the preservation and recording of Scotland’s Industrial past and is affiliated to the Association for Industrial Archaeology. https://www.industrial-archaeology.org/

Anyone can upload safe and relevant images to the Society Flickr Group:
