SIHS held its AGM in person on 21 November 2023 in Perth Lower City Mills to review the activity of the society during the early waves of the CoVid-19 pandemic, and to look ahead to a more active 2024. This will begin with our famous Burns Doo -the opportunity to hear and present short talks on Saturday 3 February 2024 in Stirling. Our Industrial Archaeology conference took place in Caithness in June 2018 in partnership with Historic Scotland Engine Shed  and SVBWG . The full information and programme is at SIHS events The lecture day was Saturday 23 June, International Women in Engineering Day, (Saturday Wick programme ) followed by a series of visits in Orkney and Caithness, that were officially badged as marking “European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018”, the common theme in June being urban infrastructure.
